1.0 out of 5 stars ARGHHH!!! REALLY A BAD MOUSE!, September 11, 2003
My old wheel mouse is much much better and precise than this kensington optical mouse. Contact customer support to solve it, tried the right drivers, but the mouse still without precise.
Please dont buy it. Choice a Logitech or Microsoft one, because the diammond tech is not good at all. Kessington, try to do more research in optical technology and release a good product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good product and a fair price..., September 2, 2005

Despite the two negative reviews I found the product to be quite good. As a graduate student I needed something that was wireless, accurate, simple, and fairly inexpensive. This model by Kensington is exactly what I was looking for as it hit all the marks on my checklist. Mice are getting to "techno nerd" these days with too many features and prices that are too high. I recommend this product to anyone looking for a just a good simple product that is competitively priced. Oh and for anyone who has never owned a wireless mouse, they all eat batteries-hence the fact that they are WIRELESS. Get yourself some rechargeable batteries and you are golden.

3.0 out of 5 stars Works, but..., November 30, 2006
The mouse seems to work just fine, so if all you want is something that works you could get by with this. My problem is it's not very compact, and I also think the advertising for it is misleading. This is just the hugest mouse I have ever seen or had. It's almost the size of my hand, and it's pretty heavy. I guess that's why it takes TWO batteries rather than one like my Microsoft mouse!!! It's really inconvenient and takes up a lot of space. Furthermore, you're never shown how huge the receiver is, either. My Microsoft mouse stopped working on me suddenly, and I got this Kensington because it was all that was left in the store and because I needed something I can use in class on my lap top. You just don't have enough space in class for this thing when you're sitting right next to someone, so I don't even take it there. I have been using the lap top's touchpad, which I absolutely hate--I think using a plug-in mouse is usually so much more convenient and easier to deal with, EXCEPT when it's one like this Kensington!

I also find it difficult to scroll up or down with this sometimes, but especially to scroll up. It seems the scroll wheel is a bit too sensitive, so sometimes when I'm just trying to scroll up the arrow on the screen will change. This often does odd things to the page I'm on, such as makes it go all the way back up to the top of the page or clicks on a link on the website that I wasn't trying to click on.

I've gotten tired of the size and these complications--every other mouse I've used has been easier to use and carry than this one. I ordered another mouse.
