Ideal for bedroom or den, the versatile TSX-15 can sit on a bookshelf conventionally or be tilted to a 20 or 45 degree angle - the entire system can even be hung on a wall. This small, high-quality audio system consists of a central module incorporating an AM/FM tuner, digital amplifier, and a CD player. A pair of two-way bass reflex speakers completes the system. The TSX-15 incorporates a Class T digital amplifier delivering 18 watts per channel. It features a mini-jack auxiliary input so another source component can be easily connected to the system. Yamaha provides a mini-jack output so you can simply add a cassette recorder or other device. An optical digital CD output provides direct connection to a separate device or system. A separate subwoofer output permits the addition of a powered sub for dramatic low-end bass. The headphone output provides private listening. The TSX-15 incorporates a sensitive AM/FM Stereo tuner with 40-station preset random access capability.The TSX-15's technology is as forward-looking as its design. The CD player easily handles CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs. A 1-bit D/A converter assures fine performance. The one-touch, motor-driven open/close acrylic cover makes inserting a disc a simple pleasure. A 12-character dot-matrix readout gives a constant indication of the system's mode of operation - and the 6-step dimmer allows you to adjust illumination level to suit the room environment. The rotary encoder volume control assures precise adjustment. The TSX-15's control module also provides a clock as well as timer, sleep, and snooze functions. The credit card size remote control keypad provides easy adjustment of mode and function from across the room. In addition, bass boost, as well as bass and treble levels can be varied from the remote keypad.
