5.0 out of 5 stars Score one for Sony, September 15, 2003
By John Miller (San Antonio, Texas United States) - See all my reviews
Its great having one stick hold 256, yet offer two sides, each containing 128. It can't hold 256 total, but it is able to hold more then the memory stick pros, due to the lack of MagicGate. I would highly recommend this stick. I use it on sonys new PEG-UX50, and it works like a charm. Mp3s read easy and load fast, faster then I imagined. If you need a stick for music this is it! Only bad thing is, if you try to download anything larger then the side can hold, it will not transfer to the other side.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reliable, fast, best memory stick, December 9, 2003
By Eddie (Sugar Land, TX) - See all my reviews
One of the few Sony brand memory sticks without Magic Gate technology. Magic Gate wastes approximately 20 megs on the card and all it does is keep you from reading some MP3's, even ones you ripped yourself. I use this memory stick in my Sony Clie PDA and Sony DSC P10 digital camera. I have noticed in my digital camera that the SanDisk memory stick I have is slower than this Sony stick. The screen blacks out for maybe 3 seconds while it writes to the Sandisk, this is annoying, so I think the Sony is much better for this reason alone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good value, January 1, 2004

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
If all you want it for is to hold pictures, this seems like far and away the best value right now for a memory stick for your Sony camera. (Jan 1 2004) $78.99 for a 2 X 128MB combo (maybe less in function). The Sony Cybershot series has no need for the "Memory Gate", so why mess with it now.
