The JVC FS-X3 executive desktop audio system features a radical new design more akin to sculpture than electronics. With a footprint smaller than most desktop telephones, the low-profile system is a near-cube with softly scalloped sides and corners, and few exposed controls for a sleek appearance best described as industrial chic. The FS-X3 offers a dark silver finish and it is topped off by a solid machined aluminum volume control.The system uses the 30 watts-per-channel hybrid feedback digital amplifier that is extremely compact yet delivers superior performance. This design uses a digital feedback loop to generate precise pulse width modulation signals and an analog feedback loop at the output to deliver a higher quality signal to the speakers. Other features include a top-load CD player with motorized door; blue CD illumination, Active Hyper-Bass Plus for enhanced low frequency performance; optical, analog and subwoofer outputs; AM/FM tuner; clock/timer, a headphone jack and speakers that are a contemporary design, with clearly defined drivers and rounded enclosures made of laminated wood for high rigidity.
