Housed in a matte-finish, stainless-steel case, the retractable stainless-steel tape measures up to 10 feet (3 meters) in both inches and metric. A stop button locks the tape open at the desired length, and a metal lip on the tape hooks under molding, around a door frame, on a table edge, etc. A handsome gift, the case measures 2-1/2 by 3/4 inches, and complements other contemporary Blomus desktop items, such as a stapler, tape dispenser, and business card holder.

Great item for engraving, which is what I used it for. Don't like the button though. Makes it a bit difficult to extend, but the clicks remind you to push it quickly.

At first glance, it appeared this measuring tape might be a triumph of design; a masterpiece of function. But substandard construction quality has left me unsatisfied. The bolt holding the two halves together was very loose, almost allowing the device to fall in two (which could have been very inconvenient, considering there's a spring under tension inside). Tightening the bolt was tricky, as it requires a hex wrench, not a screwdriver. In addition, the tab at the end of the tape is very loose, which could affect measurements by and eighth or a sixteenth of an inch. A measuring tape that's not completely accurate? How about applying some "function over form" here?
