I enjoyed both shows, they are fun mid 1990's traditional animated shows with some music. I have watched the Christmas Elves almost every year.

The Christmas Elves is about a shoemaker who some of santa's elves who are in training come to help him make shoes, He gets transported back to the north pole with the elves, and there is a king who is crazy about shoes, it a fun musical take on the red boots for christmas tale. I was very happy to find this show on DVD. The back of the case descibes this show as "a whimsical holiday surprise package bursting with comical elfin escapades, Yuletide musical fun and brilliantly animated fairy tale magic!"

The Night Before Christmas, I had never seen this show until I got this DVD. I was expecting it to be about the poem but it's not, its a totally different story. It's about an orphan who lives hidden in a toy factory, and he starts giving toys to other orphans, and as you can see from the cover there is toys coming to life and santa. I enjoyed it more than I expected. The back of the case descibes the Night Before Christmas as "a kind-hearted, young orphan boy and his loyal cat discover the true spirit of Christmas in this delightfully animated Yuletide tale of musical, magical holiday cheer!"

I would recomend this DVD to anyone who likes animated christmas shows.

I was very unhappy with this "movie". I love and collect Christmas films and this was such a bore that I could not watch either story the whole way through. My friend's daughter didn't even want to watch it.
