These batteries seem to be alright. I have also purchased Duracell off of ebay in bulk and they seem as if they were after market or not the real Duracell battery. I would purchase the Maxells again.

If you go through a lot of AAA batteries, this is one of the best deals on the market, short of investing in a recharging unit and a couple of rechargeable batteries. A very good value.
