About the Actor
Lieutenant Kevin Dillon is a twenty-three year veteran of a Hartford County CT police department, where he has commanded both the patrol and detective divisions. In addition to his extensive police experience, he has served as a SWAT officer for the past ten years and is currently Tactical Commander for the 35 member regional SWAT team. Lieutenant Dillon has been instructing police officers in both arrest and control fighting techniques and SWAT tactics for the past thirteen years, including an intensive nine-day Arrest and Control Instructors course that he developed for the Connecticut Police Officers Standards and Training Council. His approach is based on gross motor skills that can be used effectively with limited basic training. The techniques have proven to be successful against individuals displaying levels of resistance from passive to extremely hostile aggressive acts against police officers.
