Personal relationships play out against the backdrop of the imminent confrontation between Sakura and her friends and Eriol and his allies. Yukito continues to fade as his power wanes. Toya sacrifices his formidable magical powers, which have enabled him to protect Sakura and commune with the spirit of their dead mother, to save Yukito. Brushing aside Yukito's regrets, Toya says, "As long as you're at my side, I don't care for anything else." When Sakura tells Yukito about her crush on him, he gently explains that he already has a "Number One Person" in his life and that her feelings for him are really more familial than romantic. Sakura accepts his explanation, and is consoled by the tongue-tied Shaoran Li. These emotional shifts have been set in motion by Eriol, who continues to wait in the wings like a sinister puppet master. (Rated 13 and older: minor cartoon violence) --Charles Solomon

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm loving this final chapter of Cardcaptor Sakura, January 14, 2004

I've enjoyed the third season of Cardcaptor Sakura the most. Whereas the first two seasons can be bogged down with the formulaic capture of the cards, I find the third seasons plays out better because relationships intesnify and the emotional impact is so much greater! This volume definitely heightens the drama as feelings are revealed all the while the threat of Eriol continues to intesnsify. Sakura's magic is growing ever stronger as time passes; she also comes closer to discovering Eriol's machinations! Definitely building to the climax of the series in this volume. This is a great series. I highly recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars This one is pretty intense..., September 11, 2003
By A Customer
I have to start out by saying - I don't get very emotional about movies/animes, but I've been watching this series not only because it is so cute, clever, and has a developing plot, but because the emotions are very true to form. And needless to say, I was BAWLING! Crying my eyes out!

It was so sweet and sincere, yet so sad.... I could only cry for Sakura and some of the other characters too... whew! Someone hand me a box of tissues.

Better to see it and find out than to ruin it for yourself by reading a synopsis.

I liked this series much better than Cardcaptors. It made a lot more sense and all of the sub-plots were there.
