More than anything, what Kids in America, the record extracted from Fox-TV's "American Juniors," has going for it is its unsinkable stars. Unlike "American Idol's" gaggle of preening and mugging finalists, it's impossible to despise these big-belting, starry-eyed kids. The songs, of course, can be a different story: Chantel Kohl proves it's possible to further drippify Journey's "Open Arms," and Danielle White, who pours her every last ounce into "Colors of the Wind," would have been better served by a less predictable, non-Disney selection. Cutie pies Morgan Burke and Tori Thompson arrive rescue-ready with "Build Me Up Buttercup" and "Let 'Er Rip" respectively, though, and Taylor Thompson's "Proud Mary" no doubt makes her mama proud. By the time those tracks have spun, the rest of us are back to wishing these juniors were freshman again, giving us reason to rally behind a favorite as we watch them strut their still-innocent stuff. --Tammy La Gorce

Every single one of these kids has amazing talent at such a young age and I commend all of them.

For those who watched the show, this is a great CD compiling some of their best nights American Juniors.

Danielle White "Colors of the Wind" is amazing. She has a very special gift.

I recommend this CD for any American Juniors fan or anybody who likes to listen to young talent. It's a great CD!

I am excited for the actual group's first album!

As most people with a good ear have already commented Danielle White has the most amazing voice of this group. I enjoyed all of the songs on this CD (especially Katelinn, Chantel and Morgan) but it is Danielle's crystal clear voice and perfect pitch that makes you crank the volume just to here how good it is. Pity they made her sing Colors of the Wind. The next CD will have Never Had A Dream. A truly perfect song if you watched the show. Why she was the last voted in I'll never know. Gladys Knight had it right - MMMMM, MMMMM!!!

I've had this CD ever since it came out in September, and it hasn't left my CD player. I am a fan of the show American Juniors, and this is the perfect item to go with it. Everyone sounds great on it, but I feel like I need to mention a few particular tracks. Danielle White, who sang "Colors Of The Wind" on track 11, has one of the most amazing voices I have ever heard. The song is incredible. It's so much better than other versions I've heard, expecially the Disney version in Pocahontas. Another song that I really love is "Let Er Rip" performed by now ten-year-old Tori Thompson. Her voice is so mature, and it also has a country flare to it, which makes this song so easy to listen to. From the sound of the track, it looks like the Dixie Chicks have some competition. The last track that I feel need to mention, even though I love all twelve tracks, is their single "One Step Closer." This song is so upbeat and cool, I never get tired of listening to it. Every one of the ten finalists has their own small part in the song, which makes it even more special.

I encourage you to buy this CD, and to follow the careers of Taylor and Tori Thompson, Chauncey Matthews, Lucy Hale, and Danielle White: The American Juniors.
