4.0 out of 5 stars Let Me Get That Off You Boy!!!!, November 5, 2003
Gangsta Boo, having left HCP (as many great rappers have...T-Rock anyone?), branches out on her own. The album is a step down from Both Worlds *69 which was a complete classic album. But she seriously sounds exactly the same and she doesn't have any poppy beats; they are still gangsta beats rivaling the work of DJ Paul & Juicy J ( except for @ The Bar). She still has that underground `Memphis' sound. She also comes up with some rather catchy hooks. "Kill Or Be Killed", Let's Get High, Let Me Get That Off You Boy, How We Roll are perfect examples of this. Gangsta Boo's lyrics are somewhat of a letdown on this album but she still snaps when she wants to...it's just the lyrics seem a little rushed on some songs.

"Where They Hang" is straight up tizight and Sippin & Spinnin is straight hot. But the best song on the album is easily `City Streets'. The beat is just great and the chorus is too. "I can't be (messing) wit em, these (people) shady baby/ they want to eat up off me, but they don't wanna pay me/ they want to take my life, I ask the lord to save me/ this (stuff) is serious now the outcome is the crazy lady." It's obvious who this song was directed at, not really a diss, but an address of the situation. The lyrics are straight on point; the caliber we all know Lady Boo is capable of, and her flow is great on the track. A classic track.

Although this album isn't of the caliber of past G. Boo albums, she does show flashes of brilliance. The album has a dark, night time feel to it, and that's good seeing as the cold nights are just around the corner. Gangsta Boo drops an album tight enough to hold you over till the next album. 4 stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Gangsta Boo Does It Again... For the First Time, October 18, 2003
I have to give it up for Gangsta Boo. With This album, she has just proven that she's the top female rapper underground and in the South. "The Soap Opera" shows that Gangsta Boo doesn't need Three Six Mafia and that she has hit underground records up her sleeves. The best song is "Cutty Gul" w/ Kandi from Escape. Boo lets the fans know that she's still grimy but has that swagger to have a radio hit. Also "Spinnin & Syppin" is hot. This is a great album to buy, GO BOO.
