GREAT PRODUCT! I did a lot of research before I decided on the Trailer Keeper. Quick to install....there is a little bracket that you put under one of the lug nuts once and then you just leave the bracket on all the time. It doesn't throw the wheel out of balance because it's almost at the center of the wheel. Then, to secure the trailer, it takes less than 30 seconds to snap Trailer Keeper on the wheel.

It's very strong and tough too. I got in a hurry and tried to drive away with Trailer Keeper still on the wheel, twice....duh. It stopped me in my tracks and it didn't break or damage the Trailer Keeper at all....it's really ruggedly built.

Trailer Keeper is about the only one I found that stops a thief from taking off the wheel too. With most of the other wheel locks I looked at, a thief can just take off the wheel with the lock still installed and then they use a spare to steal the trailer. You can't take off the wheel when Trailer Keeper is used.

Best I've seen for the money. I highly recommend it.

This item looks like a good idea, but in practice, it's not much good. All it takes to break it is to pull the trailer far enough for the wheel to make one revolution, and the round 1/2" steel arm that fits through the "lug latch" breaks where a small steel pin is installed. The device can then be removed easily from the wheel and discarded. Bye bye trailer.

This "security" device can easily be removed by pulling the trailer one or two wheel revolutions with it still attached. It will break off where the stem (the weakest part) meets the lug attachment. I know this from experience because one of my contractors did it this past weekend (didn't even damage the tire or trailer). I should be mad at him but instead I'm mad at the manufacturer.
