• Carousel changer system
  In the DVM-1805’s carousel changer system, any of the other 2 discs can be replaced while one of the discs is in play.
• 24-bit, 192-kHz D/A converter for optimum sound quality
• Progressive scan
  Progressive scan technology represents a vast improvement over the interlaced scanning method used in TV broadcasts and other conventional applications, as it can process around twice as much video data to produce a sharper, noise-free picture with finer details. High-definition video images are faithfully displayed with optimum naturalness and beauty.
• High-accuracy 12-bit, 54-MHz video D/A converter
  The DVM-1805 is equipped with a 12-bit, 54-MHz video D/A converter to convert with ease the huge volume of high-grade digital video data into analog signals. This converter allows even the most delicate signals to be faithfully reproduced into the clear, detailed pictures displayed with progressive-scan technology.
• 2 MB buffer memory
  This unit is equipped with a 2 MB buffer memory to ensure that both picture and sound are played without interruption when the DVD disc shifts from layer 1 to layer 2, or in the rare event of a pickup dropout.
• Picture zooming (2x or 4x)
  During play, when you press the Zoom button on the remote control, you can enlarge the picture by 2x or 4x. Use the cursor to move the enlarged viewing area up, down, to the left, or to the right.
• Color component video output
  The DVM-1805 provides color component video (Y, CB/PB, CR/PR) output that ensure the best reproduction of fine color detail with today’s high-end video monitors and large screen projectors that feature component video inputs. • Aspect ratio function for correct image displays
  When you want to view video images with an aspect ratio of 4:3 on a 16:9 progressive TV monitor, the DVM-1805's aspect ratio function converts the images to the correct aspect ratio so that you can enjoy high-quality progressive output on your screen. This function also converts 16:9 images for output to 4:3 TV screens.

Purchased this to be both a CD changer and a DVD Player. The sound is good and the video is great. Unfortunately, the system has no sequential play mode between disks even though it holds five. If you put five CD's in for instance, you can only play one CD then it stops. To play the next CD you have to physically tell the player to switch to the next CD and start it. The same problem occurs with DVD's so for instance if you have a 2-CD Lord of the Rings, it will not sequentially play the second DVD. This is a bummer as I've come to expect better from Denon.
