Christmas Movie
This "movie" is actually a 2000 holiday special. With Christmas and entrance exams approaching, the Hinata Apartments are in a typical uproar. The gang decides the popular superstition "if you declare your love for someone on Christmas Eve, your wish will come true" should apply to Naru and Keitaro, who are trying to study. They decide to assist the pair--and succeed in making pests of themselves. Of course, everything ends happily, despite Keitaro's sprained ankle and a long series of comic mishaps and misunderstandings. The disc also includes a new episode of Love Hina in which champion swordswoman Motoko must redeem herself in the eyes of her older sister to remain the heir to the Shinmei School. Christmas cheer notwithstanding, nothing's changed at the Hinata Apartments. An excellent gift for fans of this popular romantic comedy.
Spring Movie
This second television special picks up where the so-called "Christmas Movie" left off, with Keitaro, Naru, and Mutsumi taking the Tokyo University entrance exam for the umpteenth time. Convinced he's blown the test by falling asleep, Keitaro accepts Mr. Sato's offer of a job on the South Pacific Island of Pararkelse. When she finds out, Naru sets off to bring him back. Shinobu, who's upset because a boy likes her and she adores only Keitaro, follows--as does the rest of the regular cast. On Pararkelse, Keitaro and Naru help a girl named Nyamo look for her grandfather, who disappeared searching for the ruins of an "ancient turtle civilization." As Keitaro, Naru, and Mutsumi all pass the entrance exam and Naru finally admits she loves Keitaro, this adventure seems to mark the end of the Love Hina continuity.
Love Hina Again Movie
The popular romantic comedy Love Hina seemed to end with the Spring Special Movie, when Keitaro and Naru finally got into Tokyo University--and admitted they were in love. In this new three-part adventure, Keitaro breaks his leg at the class welcoming ceremony and has to skip a semester. Keitaro got into the university to keep a childhood promise; now he needs a goal of his own. He decides to assist Mr. Seta and study archeology. While they're away on an expedition, Keitaro's stepsister Kanako arrives and makes life miserable for the whole cast. Keitaro returns and has to deal with Kanako's misplaced affection, Naru's fear of commitment, an abandoned, magical resort, the Hinato residents' well-intentioned meddling, and his own clumsiness. It all adds up to kind of affectionate nuttiness Hina fans expect and enjoy. (Rated 16 and older: comic violence, risqué humor, brief nudity, tobacco and alcohol use) --Charles Solomon

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Good - However, October 4, 2003
By A Customer
I had all of Love Hina and it is my fav 'manga'. As a anime it isn't as good as the manga but is still enjoyable. These 3 movies are fun and enjoyable to watch, but are predictable. These movies were created because the normal tv series was cancelled (they werent planning on having movies, just a normal tv series), so they had to make these movies to finish it off. Therefore they try and fit in that parts of the manga they missed (all though it takes a slight twist storyline on the manga, all the series episodes come from some event in the manga).

All in all they are still enjoyable to watch and have killer music. All in all i would give this 5 stars as it is my fav, but i gave it 4 stars for the fact that Love Hina Again trys to cram what is about 5 manga books worth into 3 episodes (if you want something to compare to, the Love Hina Tv series covers about 5 manga books [thats 25+1 episodes) and there are 14 manga books).

So overall i recommend you get it, i also say go buy all the manga from Tokyopop as well, you enjoyed the anime you'll LOVE the manga.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but.., April 16, 2004
By A Customer
All in all these 3 movies were good, but in my own opinion the drawing style for the three movies was just lacking a bit. Also, the story line wasn't as detailed as the manga series. The final movie, Love Hina Again, really got me irriated a bit. I thought it would, in a way, follow suit with the end of the manga, but the ending just leaves you hanging, which is irriating. I suspect that there probably is going to be another Love Hina tv movie, but I am not fully sure. I openly buy it, but I rather suggest to you all to buy all the 14 manga series. They are a hell alot better and you get to see more..you know..the stuff that Keitaro keeps getting hit by when peeking in the Spring Bath..

5.0 out of 5 stars Three great movies in one collection..., April 4, 2004
The Love Hina Christmas Movie DVD is the first you should watch. Not only does it have Episode 25 as one of the extras, but the movie itself is very touching, as Keitaro finally tells Naru he loves her. But her reaction, which is to run away, is not the one he wanted. Does she love him or is she still in love with somebody else?
The Love Hina Spring Movie DVD is the next one you should watch. Naru, Keitaro and Mutsumi have taken their entrance exam for Tokyo U BUT before the results can come in Keitaro disappears. Naru pretends not to care, but in the end she runs off to rescue him.
The story goes nuts, as we end up on a tropical island with a secret civilization, lots of flying turtles, missiles and a girl named Nyamo. Pretty normal for Love Hina when you think about it.
The third DVD, Love Hina Again, is three episodes. We learn Keitaro and Naru have begun college life. Yet Naru has still not told Keitaro she loves him (not to his face anyway). And now he's gone off on another archaelogical dig with Naru's old flame Seta!
THEN Keitaro's little step-sister shows up and things really get weird, even for Love Hina. Talking cats, love magic and lots of new rules to live by. This DVD also has cool outtakes!
If you love Love Hina, you should try to get all the DVDs, used or new.
