The turkey fryer is an ideal gift with everything you could ask for. My only disappointment is it was shipped directly in the box it came in with the shipping label on the side. The box and product were damaged during shipping and even though I indicated this item was a gift, the surprise was ruined.

My unit arrived intact in its own box inside a shipping carton, so Amazon.com has addressed the shipping problem.

The pot works great and the turkey is fabulous. I can't wait to try it on other foods.

My issues only concern assembly and there are two: First, the supplied wrench is soft and stripped itself after about 4 bolts. This is only an issue because all of the bolts included are metric, and most people in the US don't have metric wrenches, I used my metric sockets which did work fine. An adjustable wrench would also have worked. Second, one of the bolts that holds the burner to the leg snapped 12 hours after assembly. I had to drill the bolt out and find a replacement.

Despite all of that, it is a great pot and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is serious about deep frying turkey.

Durable, portable and really useful. The fish pot is the best. Has all the basics plus good extras (the marinade injector is quick and easy to use).
