i think this is a decent laser personally. i`ve had mine for about six months and have used it a fair amount. the only flaw i see in it is that the pendulmn inside sticks in a fixed position after it has sat for awhile without use and needs to be freed up by shaking it, other than that it works great!...get rid of that old plumb bob and get yourself a laser, best hundred bucks i ever spent

I have quickly come to find this tool essential. Workers with another contractor tested my unit and found it to be accurate to 1/64 inch per 100 ft. They all said they needed to get one. Everyone I work with wants to borrow mine. Our company is putting this on the required tool list. This is the most usefull tool I have bought in twenty years.

I bought this laser to simplify the hanging of a wallpaper border halfway up the wall in a baby's room. I expected it to project a line on the wall based upon the description and other reviews. I was disappointed to realize that this laser instead generates a simple point. Perhaps the point could be used to trace a line by rotating the laser on a tripod and marking the wall, but that is opposite of what I was trying to accomplish.

If you want a simple point, then this well-made laser may suit your purposes, but it didn't suit mine.
