1.0 out of 5 stars How I Want It? I want you to retire!!!, November 18, 2003
Loon is easily the worst rapper out right now...yes worse than Juelz Santana. This man spits hot garbage, with basic lyrics, an EXTREMELY average voice, no emotion whatsoever, and the worse mic presence in the history of Hip Hop. He's just not very talented at rapping. He tries to rap about women far too much and he's not doing it good. All of it is just BLAH. He mumbles so much it's hard to understand the things he says. His flow is straight up LAZY. Almost like he's slept through rapping woke up and forgot he was rapping so he just starts mumbling. Put some pep in your step PLEASE!!! The problem with Loon is that he has no identity...nothing to set him apart from the millions of other rappers trying to make it. He has no flavor whatsoever. If he were to jump on a collabo track the only way you'd know it was him would be that he is the only one on the track that sounded half sleep. I have no clue what Diddy saw in him; but a word of advice to Diddy and the people pondering buying this album...KEEP LOOKING. Zero Stars.

3.0 out of 5 stars Most tracks cool some LOONEY!, November 20, 2003
By Harvey Butler (San Diego, CA United States) - See all my reviews
Ok I think it is clear that loon is an excellent guest appearance type of artist, but Listening to this album, his flow is almost exactly the same on all of the tracks. Don't get me wrong, I like his flow, but he should be able to change it up a little bit to make the album seem more diverse. There are notable tracks on the album where Loon has your head nodding such as "How you want that" featuring Colorful yet at times odd Kelis who is now linked up with the Neptunes Startrak label. How you want that has that Bad Boy, Daddy's house studios signature sound and is a nice lead single for Loons Debut, but it seems to have gotten lost among the radio airwaves. Down for Me featuring Mario Winans is the second single off the album is a stand out track that describes a dude who is looking for the right lady, a subject that is now played out among thug love rappers, but Loon somehow took the subject and gave it hard edges that appeal to both the thugs and the ghetto girls of the world. The other songs on Loons debut are probably just a cut above average and you will find yourself skipping past some of them. When all is said and done loon has put together a solid debut, but doesn't Utilize all of his talent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loon, October 22, 2003
Loon is hotter than... some one said he can't flow, come on. Amazon should have a rule that you have to have the album to review it. His flow is like butter,
"This verse I feel I owe you, you trying to get dough I'll show you, even if I don't know you, tell you couple things I go through, and maybe you can get some dough to...
-This Ain't Funny
He Mase on steriods, flow like Slick Rick/ Snoop. Kid is ill. Some of the songs are wack though-
Down For You, Thing That You Do, and Waiting
The other songs are straight fire. The illest beat is Can't Talk to Her until Diddy comes on. He takes it straight back to the Golden Age of rap. The illest rhymes are on Don't Want To Die. Loon has a lot of talent and hotter than 50 (not Eminem) in my opinion. His single could be a lot better. Diddy is making him sound weak with I Need A Girl and all that commercial stuff. Though the beats are commercial this is where the game is headed, don't like it than get some corny Del the Funky Homosapian album, or over dramatic Jedi Mind Trick. Plus he's from the streets, Del's a crack head.
