After looking at the $40 versions of this at the stores I thought, what the heck. For $10, how could I go wrong? Usually I end up being disappointed in the inexpensive items and feel it was a waste of money and I should have just gone with the expensive one.

So, after placing my order on Amazon I realized I may just end up getting a useless pocket tool in the mail and need to go out and spend more money. Boy, was I wrong. For the price I paid for this ($10) it should be bought by everyone.

It comes in a nice case with a belt loop and a velcro flap. Although I don't believe the case will stand up to long-term wear and tear, I personally don't care about that as I keep this in my backpack.

The tool itself has nice solid action, although the plastic grips make me feel like I might see some breakage in the future. The blades are sharp and are easily accessed.

Additionally with a name like "Smith & Wesson 44 Mag Tool" you just simply can't go wrong.

My only issue, has nothing to do with the tool itself, but with the shipping method. UPS required an adult signature to pick this item up and wouldn't just leave it on my front porch. As I work during the day, it was rather inconvenient to go to the UPS depot and pick up the package.

Other than the shipping issue, which was relatively minor, definite recommendation, buy it.

It is a fine multitool. It's got a heft and solidity that I appreciate in tools. I had no problem with shipping and am quite satisfied with the company and the product.

i got this as a christmass gift 2 years ago, and proceeded to use it and love it for a year, then i lost it and have been playing with imitations ever since. imagine my surprise when i see this tool on amazon FOR $10! i imediatelly bought it (shipping is almost as much as the multitool itself :-( . ) its a great tool, after about a week of use or when you loosen the screws a bit you can open it one handed and it makes it much easier to use. you can even get at the middle tools without having to open the outer ones. just give it some time it will grow on you.
