Good but... just FYI, June 23, 2004
By A Customer
Okay, this is a great CD. One of the best. The songs are great. I only give it four because I bought the ORIGINAL soundtrack. I thought this was going to have more but it was just a few more songs. The Breeders song (Cannonball) is in the credits. Friday on My Mind by Noogie is when they're at school. Empty Spaces by Fuel (great song) is when Landon runs from the cops after they do that stunt in the beginning. The "remade" Cry? Not really... just Shane West saying "All I know is that you're beautiful. Will you sing for me?" and it was even better in the film because he pauses when he says "All I know........... is that you're beautiful." And you're like AHHH! and it's not even paused. It's all rushed. And the part at the end of the song, which is after the song and she's like "Ooooooooooo" or whatever, he says "Jamie saved my life. And I'll always miss her. But her love is like the wind. I can't see it but I feel it." which totally made me bawl during the movie but... at the end of Only Hope? Kind of kills it. It's great, yeah, but would I spend 13.98 to get just that? No. But IF you haven't bought the first soundtrack, buy this one because it has extra songs, but if you HAVE bought the first soundtrack, just know that there's only a few new songs.

A Stunning Soundtrack, June 26, 2005
I loved the movie 'A Walk To Remember', it made me tear up at the end and it was one of those better cast and directed young people movies. Having watched the movies and impressed with the songs on the movie (and I knew already half the artists) I decided to purchase the Special expanded edition of the Motion picture soundtrack from Amazon.com. I was stunned by the quality and the beautiful articulation in the 16 song sountrack with the enhanced photo gallery and video clip of the song by Mandi Moore 'Cry' in the enhanced section of this CD. Just place the CD in your computer's CD-Rom and you won't be disappointed. The songs by Switchfoot offered the Christian rock fans 3 songs and were as always great. This also gave me the opportunity to listen to Mandi Moores' music and wow she has alot of talent. Overall this CD is a must buy for any fans of the movie and it is a feel good CD. I won't go over the threshold that this is the 'Best Soundtrack' but I will say it is up there with the best.

The best movie soundtrack I own, November 30, 2004
A Walk to Remember was one of the best movies of 2002 (no, I'm not kidding. I loved it - I thought it was incredibly touching), and there's no doubt that the music in the movie helped the film along.
Highlights of the A WALK TO REMEMBER OST are:
*Only Hope (Mandy Moore) - Mandy Moore has a beautiful voice, and she makes this song even better than the original (a hard thing to do).
*You (Switchfoot) - Yet another wonderful song. There are quite a few Switchfoot songs on the CD, and this is the best one. The lyrics are moving and Jon Foreman (the lead singer) has a really nice voice.
*Mother, We Just Can't Get Enough (New Radicals) - This isn't a great song lyrics-wise, but I love the beat/music. Its from the part of the movie where Landon is learning how to dance for Jamie. Its a pretty long song with few words, but it sounds really cool.
*So What Does it All Mean? (Shane West) - Who knew Shane West was a singer? This song doesn't really fit in with the movie (in fact, I couldn't find where it was used in the movie for a long time - its in the beginning when Landon is getting out of his car), but I like it. Its a fun song, and its a break from the really inspirational songs.
*Someday We'll Know (Mandy Moore feat. Jon Foreman) - It doesn't get any better than this. Mandy Moore has an amazing voice, as does Jon Foreman (the lead singer of Switchfoot). The lyrics are great and its a fun song that also has a lot of meaning to it.
I love every song on the A WALK TO REMEMBER OST - the original version of Only Hope (Switchfoot) is on here, and so is the song If You Believe (Rachael Lampa), which is beautiful as well.
Recommended to fans of Christian music, Mandy Moore, or soundtracks. I love it.
Overall grade - A+
