DAVE is the first and only cross-platform networking solution of its kind. DAVE uses the fast, industry-standard TCP/IP protocol instead of AppleTalk and is designed specifically for the Apple Macintosh. It is installed on the Macintosh and no additional hardware or software is required on the PC. The interface is just like what you are used to seeing, whether you are a Macintosh user or a PC user. From the PC, users see the Macintosh files and printers in their familiar Network Neighborhood. The Macintosh looks like just another PC on your Microsoft network. After mounting a Macintosh, you can easily select a shared Macintosh file to work on or a shared PostScript printer to print to. From the Chooser, Macintosh users can easily mount other users' shared directories, manipulating the files directly over the network.
