First of all, potential buyers of this toy set should know that the manufacturer's description listed above in inaccurate: This doll does not have the "bendy" body that the individually issued Batgirl Barbie has. This doll has more of an "action figure" body made from hard plastic. Another difference is this doll's head is on a ball-joint, so she can look forward while posed on the Batcycle. In general, this doll is more posable than the other version, and her joints have a larger range of motion. Also, her boots are not split up the back like the other doll's; therefore the boots will stay on nicely during play.

The Batcycle itself is pretty fantastic as well. The bike has several moving parts and perfectly supports the doll in a riding position.

The set makes a terrific display piece, but I am betting kids will love it as much as collectors. Mattel has really made an impressive toy with this set! And you can't beat amazon.com's price!

My 4-year-old daughter is starting to get interested in Barbie dolls, and asked if she can have a "fancy" Barbie for her birthday. Yet, she is mesmerized by her brother's action figures. I knew when I saw this hybrid Barbie/superhero, I found the perfect solution. The motorcycle is really cute, and the doll is beautifully dressed.

I am sad to see that these dolls weren't snapped up to be placed into the hands of children, or even collectors, but instead by hoarders who now want $40, $50, $80 or more. I paid $24.99 in April 2006...a reasonable price. How sad that the e-bay profiteers are snatching up kids' toys to create artificial scarcity...sadly, the internet has helped previously normal adults become shady scalpers instead.

Stop posting fake reviews on this product. It seems really unbelievable that you touched the "Batgirl" figure just once and everything broke on it? You must be "cave" people.Batgirl Barbie is a GREAT figure AND so is the BATCYCLE! Go and buy it if you'd like it is worthy penny and it is at a great price!
