2.0 out of 5 stars Tears to my Eyes, March 10, 2005
By Q-Tip (Deptford, NJ) - See all my reviews
What happened? Can someone please tell me what's going on? No wonder Ryan and Amir have Julien-K.

And yes, if you know Julien-K, you know what that means. Where did all the dazzling synth-guitar parts go? Where did all the v-drums go? There is barely any of their electronic roots at all on this album. They definately have turned their backs on everything they were about.

This album is nu-metal. The lyrics are so insanely horrible. Look at the lyrics Orgy used to write for their songs. They were all so akward and clever and just down-right awesome. These are sobby heartache songs. I don't understand how you do that.

What happened to Orgy? The only good songs are Vague and The Obvious. That's about it. And please don't scream Jay. Please.

1.0 out of 5 stars Orgy died, December 29, 2004
By Jared "Jared" (California) - See all my reviews
I enjoyed Candyass and VP and was excited to hear they put out a new CD.......yeah. Well, the new record is terrible. Musically, they have turned into another nu-metal band. Lyrically, they have turned into another nu-metal band. Jay Gorden writes cliche' lyrics that are not clever and the rest of the band plays mediocre music. They have lost their uniqueness.

Then again, some people seem to really like this record. If you enjoy bands like Linkin Park, new Korn, Staind, and bland nu-metal bands, this is the record for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Redefined, February 24, 2004
By "sym_zombie" (Cincinnati, Ohio United States) - See all my reviews
Wow. Just wow. I'm still listening to this cd and I feel if I stop the world will too. Orgy has definately made a return, they have brought the edgier side of Candyass with them and added some mor espite to the mixture. The guitars pound more than ever, and the drums and bass keep it all in line as always, while Jay's vocals pilot this flight through a tempest. I definately don't recommend this cd, I ORDER YOU, to go out and buy it, because it is worth every cent.
As far as the tracks go:

Beautiful Disgrace (8/10): A different but good start, I was ready for some goofy intro thing like on Vapor Transmission, but they pulled through it

Vague (9/10): Well written and performed, what can I say

Ashamed (8/10): Doesn't stand out over anything else, but it still rocks out.

Make Up Your Mind (8/10): This is a slower song, but its still easy on the ears.

Leave Me Out (9/10): Just when you think, "hmm another slow song..." they change it up.

The Obvious (10/10): Quite possibly the song I anticipated hearing the most, and by far the best new song I've heard for a while. Needless to say, I wasn't let down.

Inside My Head (9/10): Catchy bass/guiter line, and great lyrical writing.

Pure (7/10): Shorter, intro a lil' unneeded, but still a good track.

Can't Take This (10/10): A perfect ending to a great release.

For 9 tracks I was worried about length/content. But it is still 37:35 and that is just as long as a Linkin Park cd, with quadruple the content.
