1.0 out of 5 stars How can a movie be sooo bad on so many levels?, November 2, 2005
By Movie Pretzel (Bellingham WA) - See all my reviews
Ok, so the movie starts out with an interesting introduction which has absoloutley nothing to do with the rest of the movie. In short, the writing is uninspired and painfully dull; the acting looks like something you'd see coming from a high school drama class; the camera work manages to take the cliche b-movie camera work made popular in such films as "Army of Darkness," where an makes it nauseating, boring, inimaginative and genuinely bad; the characters have even less depth then you're average Saturday morning cartoons, and the story is so painfully terrible that simply watching it is a draining and genuinely unpleasant experience. Regardless of how short the movie may be, it seems to drag on forever. Do not buy this movie, honestly you shouldn't even waste the two bucks that it would take to rent this terrible movie. It is not worth the film that it is printed on. If you are unfortunate enough to see this movie, I am truly sorry, you have just wasted an hour an a half of your life and are now stupider for having watched this movie. I bid you all good day.

Cordially yours,
an honest reviewer

2.0 out of 5 stars maybe 2 and ahalf stars, May 20, 2004
By "max2512" (Los Angeles) - See all my reviews
I saw this film awhile ago but remember it pretty clearly. I would have to categorize it as a "nice try". It definitely has a visual style and a kind of ominous undertone but the weakness of the script hurts it immeasurably. The characters are one dimensional and hollow and their actions have no basis in reality. It seems to be merely an excercise in style. If something like this is what you're after, check out Danny Boyle's Shallow Grave.

and PS, what's with the ballot stuffing? These reviews all sound like they came right out of a press release.

1.0 out of 5 stars the wind BLOWS, September 19, 2004
By Carrie (Boston, MA) - See all my reviews
This is quite possibly the worst film. Ever. The acting was dramatically chiche and just plain BAD. The director was attempting artful Quentin Tarantino-like shots, but completely missed. And the soundtrack? I think it happened like this: "Hey guys, I have a friend who has this keyboard and he could totally score this movie if we gave him 15 bucks."
And the whole, "If you don't like The Wind, you totally don't get it" thing doesn't hold water. The script is completely unengaging besides the fact that it doesn't even much sense. So, if you like, rent or buy this movie if you don't mind paying good $$ to waste 2 hours of your life that you will never get back.
