Editorial Reviews

Product Description
The Boston Strangler -  In 1964 thirteen Boston women were brutally strangled. The city was locked in terror and the media dubbed this savage murdered "The Boston Strangler." Albert Henry DeSalvo later confessed to the murders while serving a life sentence for sexual assault and armed robbery. DeSalvo was stabbed in prison after serving six years of his sentence. To this date, no one has been charged with the murders.

John Wayne Gacey - In 1978 Gacey went on trial for the murder of his last victim, fifteen-year old Robert Piest. By the time of Gacey's execution in 1994, he had been convicted of 33 murders and had officially killed more victims than any other serial killer in Amerian History. This is a chilling journey into the mind of one of the nation's most prolific serial killers, including an exclusive death row interview.

Richard Ramirez - In 1985 a horrific spree left 13 people dead and the city of Los Angeles paralyzed with fear. Richard Ramirez' name is now synonymous with Satanism, torture and sadistic murder. Found guilty in 1989, Ramirez is currently on death row at San Quentin and despite his hideous crimes, he still attracts women, from crime groupies to a juror who fell in love with the killer she helped convict.

4.0 out of 5 stars pace is too fast..., March 11, 2007
Get it. Problem is it's slickly edited and moves way too fast. There is hardly anything here on Gacey's childhood, by the way.
Intros are done by Richard Beltzer. This guy is about as interesting as watching grass grow. Also, he does quite a bit of shifting with his eyes while reading the monitor before him. Really distracting. Thankfully, he does not do the narration, only the hosting.

Overall this thing is worth buying, although I recommend picking up books on these killers instead. Why? You'll get more info and details.

3.0 out of 5 stars just ok, March 9, 2007
By just some "guy" (philadelphia, pa) - See all my reviews
I picked this up because it was on sale, and i essentially got what i paid for. not much new info. not presented very well. more like watching a segment on "Entertainment Tonight for the Morally Depraived" than an actual documentary. I'd instead reccomend going for the A&E two disk DVD set.
