The Creation were undoubtedly one of the most underappreciated bands to emerge from the UK during the 1960s, but their legend has grown with time and Red With Purple Flashes is the first ever DVD to feature the band. Focusing on their 1990s reformation, the DVD captures the band as they are due to play their first gigs in almost thirty years, at Londons Mean Fiddler venue. Interviews with the original band members show the great pride they have in their music and their legacy. We are then treated to the comeback gig itself and also another live show from 1995 at the same venue. Amongst the tracks featured are the classic Painter Man and Making Time.
