Finally! A pan just for brownies! A+A+A+, April 5, 2005
This is another excellent baking pan from Calphalon. I have the entire collection of Calphalon Commercial Nonstick Bakeware and I think the whole line is superb but I have to say this brownie pan is one of my favorites! It is the exact size for brownies! My brownies come out perfect every time; I barely get them out of the oven before my husband has his face in the pan! It has a very slippery nonstick finish; you couldn't make anything stick to this finish if you tried. This pan (like all nonstick items) is not dishwasher safe but it is a very, very easy to clean, and is easy to store. Make sure that if you nest it with other pans that you put a paper towel or cloth between the pans so the don't scratch each other. Very, very highly recommended!
Also, I recommend you pick up the Calphalon nylon baking spatula/cutter and the Calphalon nylon all-purpose spreader. I am not a big fan of nylon utensils (silicone is so much better) but I do like to use the spreader for cutting and the brownies, it is shorter and serrated on one side (it is also great for frosting) and the spatula for lifting them. The spatula is long and flexible so it is easy to get right under them and lift them out of the pan. With the nylon utensils you will not have to worry about damaging the nonstick finish. You could use the spatula to cut as well as it also has a serrated side but it is long and can be a little cumbersome so I prefer the shorter spreader for cutting.

Heavy - Great Quality, January 21, 2005
We purchased three of these pans (two for gifts) in December. They are real heavy duty Calphalon. Our first brownie batch was the best ever - they fell right out of the pan, and cleanup consisted of a couple of wipes with the sponge. You won't be disappointed !!!

Calphalon Means Quality, March 29, 2005
I have a confession to make. Even though Calphalon claims that this is indeed a brownie pan, that is not the purpose that I purchased it for. I always like to have a few baking pans around the house for tator tots, chicken fingers, or whatever frozen delight I may need to pop into the oven. I rarely make brownies, but do have a couple of the Calphalon baking sheets for cookies, so I was already a fan before I made this purchase. This pan replaced my Baker's Secret pans that were leaving pieces of non-stick material on my tator tots. It didn't take a scientist to know that it was time to replace those pans. Sure, Baker's Secret was affordable, but in the end I would end up spending much more on replacements. I searched Amazon for baking pans, and I knew that Calphalon was known for its durability, and the weight of the product alone is a sign of quality. What I didn't expect was exactly how easily burnt cheese would simply slide right off the pan. I first used the "brownie" pan to make twice baked potatoes. Not only was it my first time making twice baked potatoes, but also it was my first time using my new pan. I went heavily on the cheese, because afterall that is what makes a good potato. Thus, the cheese melted all over the pan once I took the potatoes out of the oven. Not wanting to eat them cold, I left the pan until after dinner to clean. When I returned to do the dishes, they were cold, but I was surprised that the cheese slid right off the pan. I literally wiped it out with my hand before washing the pan with a sponge and dish soap. I was so impressed that I didn't have to soak the pan or use any strength what-so-ever to remove the cheese. The pan also browned the potatoes beautifully and they were not burnt at all underneath. Since then I have used the for the above said tator tots, and even cheese stuffed pretzels. You guessed it, the pans still brown as evenly and clean up as easily as before. I got a better deal on the pan than what it is listed for now, but even at this price this pan is definitely worth it. In the end, you always pay for quality.
