About the Artist

Gee Ray has been in the music business for over 20 years. He began his career performing with local bands on the high school and college campuses.

He was able to attend Grambling College with the help of a music scholarship and has performed in many night clubs around of the Los Angeles area, with various dance and show groups.

During this time of his life, Gee Ray got the opportunity to tour aboard with a Los Angeles based show group named "Starfire" under the management of "Mavericks Flat International."

Gee Ray has also toured and performed overseas with a well known dance group, at the time, from Tanzania and Keyna called "Ashantis" for a period of 4 years.

Upon returning back to the U.S.A., Gee Ray began to focus his attention in the area of recording, songwriting and publishing. It was at this time that he formed his own Publishing Company and began to write, arrange and record his own music.

Gee Ray also began to collaborate and record cassette demos for many other aspiring recording artist. This was the beginning for Gee Ray to start developing his skills in the art of digital recording which has continued to this day.

Over the past 10 years, Gee Ray has written, recorded and produced 3 CDs and has collaborated with many local recording artist. He has also mastered many songs for various artist in the general area.

Gee Ray subscribes to several magazines to stay abreast of current trends and is a member of ASCAP as both a Writer and Publisher.

In the world of the internet, Gee Ray has created and maintains an internet radio station (Geerayrecords.com) which features both popular and independent recording artist. to the hot tracks of a variety of recording artist!
