...it's too bad that they are playing that If I Ain't Got You w/ Usher all over the place. Not that it isn't a decent redux. It's just that the remix w/ Kanye is just as good or if you're so inclined, a dancible (like R. Kelly's Chi town steppin' dancible), speaker thumping remix. Kanye takes Keys vocals from the original 'Ain't....' and speeds it up, jeep beats it up over Keys' variation on a theme piano tricklings and her church solo vocal ad-libs and comes up with a HEY! rendition. Like--mixing the familiar with the unexpected and the moment of recognition is a HEY! moment. (Get it?) You will love the extras here. The reggae-ization of You Don't Know My Name and vid/DVD presentations of the Keys videos. Superb. Get it even if you've got the original Diary CD, it's worth it...'sides, you've worn out the first copy, anyhoo.

Great special edition of Alicia Keys second album, which I loved better than her 1st. Comes with bonus disc featuring "My Boo" Featuring Usher. and all her vids frm this album too. PLUS Remixes!

The If I Ain't Got You Remix where there is a jamming session on the Piano and some bass in the backround is the only good song to come from Alicia Keys since she hit the music scene. Seriously, what a horrible collection of music she has made. Boring "artsy" songs that could never qualify as REAL art. I would buy this CD just for that one remix, however, amazon didn't put track samples on this page and I don't know if that remix is on here... Even then probably I am not gonna pay the outrageous lowest price of $9 (at the time of this review) for just that 1 track. Can anyone who knows the version I'm talking about help me find that song Plz?
