Designed for use as one of a pair of matched stereo speakers or a front speaker in a surround sound system, the H400 Heritage model features dual 6.5-inch cellulose woofers and a 1-inch soft dome tweeter to create a crisp frequency response of 35 Hz to 30 kHz. The sound radiates from the speaker's versatile cast-aluminum enclosure, which not only contributes to the audio profile but also adds a high-tech yet comfortable appeal to a room's décor.

The speaker's height and driver spacing are designed to give listeners a good starting point toward optimum imaging and frequency response. However, users can also experiment with a wide variety of locations, as the H400 is equally at home on the floor or a short bookshelf (though locating it at ear level typically produces the most realistic sound). The speaker is also video shielded, meaning you can store it near a TV without worrying about image distortion or other hazards. And with a power rating of 10 to 175 watts, it should work with most amplifiers.

The speaker measures 7.37 by 37.5 by 12.12 inches (W x H x D) and is covered by a five-year warranty on parts and labor. These speakers are absolutely amazing. They have the fullest sound you could ask for. I run them off a 100w per channel Kenwood amp, and they always sound good. There is no loss of quality as the volume increases. They sound just as good when they are so low you can barely hear them as when they are so loud you can feel the bass in your chest. Also, these speakers put out great bass.
Basically these speakers are all around awesome.

I previously purchased the matching center and bookshelfs and was very pleased with the sound of those. When I saw that Electronics Expo was selling these through Amazon for under $150 a pair including shipping, I could not pass it up. It is almost impossible to find floorspeakers for less than that and usually they are poor quality. Having already been exposed to the Advent Heritage line, I knew these were of very good build quality.

I have to say that these are one of the few speakers that are actually worth their retail price of $400 a pair. The sound quality is excellent with a nice full range and great imaging. I am extremely happy with this purchase.
