I owned this watch for over 6 years and at times had it on my wrist for a year straight. It's been in oceans, lakes, rivers and steaming hot tubs. It has been pounded by hard trail bike riding and clashed against rocks and bricks, yet through it all it held up beautifully with a dashing elegance and solid accuracy.

It was so accurate out of the box that I would test it against the atomic clocks and it gained less than a two seconds...per week! After 5 years it started to loose a couple of seconds a day, but a watchmakers adjustment brought it right back into line. I have never seen a Rolex even meet COSC standards out of the box. I just adjusted my current Rolex to less than a second per day gain, but it is a shame that Rolex can't do that with the watches before they leave the factory like Omega tends to do.

The comfort of the Seamaster Pro (SMP)is superb. The original steel bracelet is literally the most comfortable I've ever felt of dozens tried. Not just comfortable for me but for my wife when I'm hugging her bare back or kids when your watch scrapes against their arm while your playing. The clasp is also the most secure, simplest and safest I've seen.

The only flaws are these: 1. When my eyesight was tops, I could read the date with no problem, but once my farsightedness took hold I had the watchmaker add a Rolex like magnifier for $20. 2. The black Seamasters or Rolexes for that matter look a bit more dashing and smart for more formal dress. Yet I was never embarassed to wear my SMP anywhere. 3. Like any steel watch it will get slight scratches especially on the clasp, no big deal. 4. Although the skeleton hands are readable, the new Omega sword hands are the most readable ever made, check out the SMP w/ swords too or better yet the Planet Ocean (PO) which is black, bigger and even more readable. But if you don't like the extra girth of the PO, then this SMP is the way to go.
