5.0 out of 5 stars This keyboard saved my wrists and my career, November 22, 2004
By Daemous Riel "daemous" (Flemington, NJ USA) - See all my reviews
I had been using a Microsoft Natural Keyboard for years and years. I was diagnosed (using some un-fun electrical needle shock measurement technology) by a neurologist with moderate to severe CTS in *both* wrists. My hands were numb with meager strength. It happened to both hands pretty close to one another. They wanted to do surgery. The "good" hand surgeon was booked for two months. Thankfully. I steadily recovered through that period and am near 100%.

I got PT, did exercises, took vitamin B-complex, and changed my keyboard and mouse. I now use a fairly wide mouse that I don't have to pinch and it has a thumb wheel (instead of a ring-finger wheel which shifts your hand). And I use this keyboard. I attribute my recovery to two things: exercises and this keyboard.

This keyboard is ultimately-adjustable. It can butterfly and rotate out or stay in a line. It can bend up nearly 45-degrees or lay flat. I have it straight and at about 30-degrees. It doesn't have a wrist wrest. You shouldn't be using one. It doesn't have keys to the right of your return key. This means you can have your mouse right where it should be -- not a large arm movement away.

This keyboard saved my wrists and my career.

4.0 out of 5 stars Adjustment potential, great. Key feel, not so great., November 21, 2005
Much like the other review. The adjustability of this keyboard is great. You can find your favorite position, or in my case, I like to switch position from time to time.
My biggest issue with this keyboard is that the keys are somewhat hard to push and it's hard to tell when they've actuated. I have a more detailed review available here:

4.0 out of 5 stars Second-best keyboard I've ever used, November 15, 2007
I type for a living, spend hours at the keyboard (sometimes up to 12 hours a day), and searched for years for the "perfect" keyboard and have tried many, many different keyboards. I have two of these, have used them at both work and home, and they are great, totally adjustable, and make a real difference in comfort. Somebody mentioned stiff keys. There might have been a break-in period on mine that I've forgotten about (I've used them for several years now), but the keys are not a problem for me and do not require any excess effort. The keyboard keeps you from having to pronate your wrists, preventing carpal tunnel, and has the added benefit of decreased tension in your shoulders. The only better one I've ever found is the chair mountable Floating Arms keyboard by Cramer/Kinesis, and they are no longer made. (If you can find one, it will probably cost you $300-$500.) In the meantime, this one is probably the best you will ever do.

3.0 out of 5 stars Goldtouch keyboard not quite golden.
Love the tented tilt of the keyboard, but the buttons take much too much force to actuate. The microsoft keyboard is much better. Read more
