The Game- Untold Story, December 29, 2004
The Game (Aka Jayceon Taylor) "Untold Story" (2004) was quietly released several months ago. Since that time Compton's Game a member of G-Unit has been gaining major attention in the commercial Hip Hop world popping up everywhere, his highly anticipated upcoming album "The Documentary" is going to be released in three weeks. His single with 50 Cent "How We Do" has been exploding on the Hip Hop charts, and Game's mixtape tape solos and collaborations with a wide variety of Rappers has the industry buzzing. All that said its time to get into a description of this release, "Untold Story" really has a different sounding Game, and completely lacks the premium Aftermath production, which will be part of the new album. I think its fair that people who are going to buy this know the above, that way they don't end up disappointed. Guest appearances come from JT the Bigga Figga (who executive produced this), Sean T, Blue Chip, San Quinn, Telly Mac, Young Noble and the Get Low Playaz. Standouts for me are "Im Looking" feat. Blue Chip, "Real Gangstaz" and Don't Cry" feat. Blue Chip, which is a deep track where Game talks about his son. One of the album's most grimy tracks "Compton Compton" closes the album off well. Having followed Game closely over recent months I have to honestly say this material is second rate compared to what's to come. Unless your a massive Game fan and want all his material I recommend skipping the "Untold Story" and waiting for the "The Documentary" (2005) which is going to be an album worth buying.

This was recorded in 2002 before Game was with Aftermath., December 14, 2004
For all of you who think this is the Game's debut album, think again. You will get no production from Dr. Dre and the album will not feature anyone from G-Unit. Bay area rapper JT the Bigga Figga got with the Game in 2002 and recorded these songs which were never released. Soon afterward Game signed with Aftermath and Dr. Dre molded him into what he is now, the most anticipated rapper to come out this year, just like he did with Snoop, Eminem, and 50 Cent. On this album Game sounds a lot like Shyne. Now he sounds nothing like Shyne. Untold Story is just a preview to Game's January debut of The Documentary on G-Unit/Aftermath Records. Untold Story is underground and it sounds like it. The production is decent and the lyrics are good. Game's flow has grown in leaps and bounds in the past two years, but he still outshines all of the featured artists on this album. Check it out just to get a preview of what is to come, but essentially what Untold Story does is give JT the Bigga Figga and Get Low Records a chance to capitalize on the buzz of the Game. No, the Game did not authorize the release of this album, but yes, he is getting paid for it.

Game is a PROBLEM!!!, December 14, 2005
This is Game's work before the deal with Aftermath Entertainment. But even back then you can hear his hunger and passion for hip hop. I got a lot of respect for Game because he isn't just a rapper...he is a lyricist. You can tell that he is conscious of every line he spits. Game is the best new artist to debut in a long time and he definitely has what it takes to become a legend as far as I'm concerned. Plus on top of that he is a VICIOUS battle MC too. Sort of reminds me of a new Ice Cube...
