The Selphy DS700 Compact Photo Printer totally changes the rules about viewing and printing photos. Unlike other photo printers, it connects directly to your TV with the included video cable, becoming part of your home entertainment system. You can view and print your digital images right in your living room, without a PC! In fact, you can print directly from a wide variety of memory cards, from a PictBridge compatible digital camera or DV camcorder, or even print wirelessly with an infrared enabled mobile phone. Of course, Canon has included its popular Easy-PhotoPrint software, so with the DS700 connected to your PC you can retouch and enhance your photos in a snap. Whichever way you print, you'll produce long-lasting, 35mm-quality photos that are perfect for sharing and framing.

Now, you can view your photos with family and friends on your TV--and print them right on the spot. To start the show, just insert a memory card containing your photos. Using the included remote control, you can zoom in, search for a photo by its shoot date, rotate images, and if someone says "I'd like a copy of that one," simply use the remote to print a beautiful 4-by-6-inch photograph in about 85 seconds. With its small size and easy connectivity, the Selphy DS700 can even go with you when you visit family and friends. It's the new way to view, print, and share your photos.

You can even print photos from a compatible infrared cell phone (3 MB file capacity). Just take a photo with your cell phone, or receive one from a friend, then point and print! Compatible memory cards include CompactFlash, Micro Drive, SmartMedia, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, SD Card, and MultiMediaCard. The following can be used with the addition of a special adapter sold separately: xD-Picture Card, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick Duo Pro and miniSD Card.

I was looking for a low priced 4 x 6 portable printer that I could take with me and have ability to leave sample pictures wherever I was visiting. My first chance to show it off was a recent family reunion. The first picture was very good and printed to edges as advertised. Of course several relatives now wanted copies. The next print was about 1/2 inch short on one edge. That was the last print because an error message to fix paper jam (none existed) kept coming up preventing any further prints. The printer was returned today.

My friend got the Canon Selphy photo printer for Christmas. We were set up and printing in 5 minutes. The photos print right to the edge (no borders) and are crisp and beautiful. Also, I loved hooking it up to the front of the TV - so easy to scan through and print! Makes printing less of an "event." If you're looking for a printer that prints different sizes (i.e. 5x7 or 8x10), this isn't the printer for you. I like it because it prints out "normal sized" prints (4x6) with ease. I liked it so much, I'm going to buy one for myself today.

Great little photo printer. Prints like a photo lab. Get your ink online from Costco for 1/2 price.
