4.0 out of 5 stars Solid Overall package, July 22, 2005
This 2 CD/1 DVD set has a lot going for it. If you've played the game and/or like the era of early 90's music, then this is a solid buy for you. This features much of the music popular at the time, including hard-hitting rap (2Pac, Cypress Hill) and rock acts (Rage Against the Machine, Faith No More). But the soundtrack also ranges across the dial to include reggae and funk classics like Rick James "Cold Blooded" and James Brown's "The Payback," '70s rock, such as Eddie Money "Two Tickets to Paradise"; old-school hip-hop (Eric B. & Rakim's "I Know You Got Soul"). There were a few out of place numbers which include Ohio Players "Funky Worm" and Willie Nelson's "Crazy". But they don't devalue the overall package. I am most likely going to get the 8 cd box set which has a lot more solid tracks on it. This also includes a DVD that provides an introduction to the game.

DISC 1:
1. Theme From San Andreas - Michael Hunter
2. Killing In The Name - Rage Against The Machine

7. Two Tickets To Paradise - Eddie Money
8. How I Could Just Kill A Man - Cypress Hill
9. Pressure Drop - The Maytals
10. Children's Story - Slick Rick
11. Cold Blooded - Rick James
12. Break 4 Love - Raze

DISC 2:
1. Funky Worm - Ohio Players
2. Barracuda - Heart
3. Hood Took Me Under - Compton's Most Wanted

6. Midlife Crisis - Faith No More
7. Poison - Bell Biv DeVoe
8. Chase The Devil - Max Romeo & The Upsetters
9. I Know You Got Soul - Eric B. & Rakim
10. Crazy - Willie Nelson

4.0 out of 5 stars Consider it a sampler, January 21, 2005
By G. Marshall (Hyattsville, MD, United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
It does have some of the best songs from the game IMO (Poison, Barracuda, Hood Took Me Under, Funky Worm) but also some of the not-so-cool ones (anything from Hans Obelander's station). The good outweighs the bad though, so if you don't already own the orginal songs, you can get this as a collection of early 90's music.

2.0 out of 5 stars where is the rest of it?, March 25, 2007
I love the game San Andreas and the music thats in it. Unfortunately the soundtrack is missing way too many good songs from the game. I can list about 10 of them from the top of my head. If you want this soundtrack as a collectors item then cool, get it. If this is something your actually going to listen to because you enjoy the music on the game then I can NOT recomend this soundtrack due to the fact that its missing a lot of songs, and in this case some of the better songs.

This has a few good songs but is missing the best ones from the game. My advice is to save your money and get the box set.
