Do everything except beep., April 12, 2005
Translucent in appearance, with an almost see-through cover, these "crystal" white balls are for the more serious golfer--or those who want a more serious "look" than what one gets with Volvik's equally good, pastel-colored balls. The "feel" is the best I've come across in ages.
Though they are a low 70-compression ball, they are as lively off the tee as even the hardest Pinnacles, and I increased my distance by ten yards or more, with a feeling of better control over direction and significantly better accuracy. The user-friendliness of the ball is also noticeable in the short game (which is so often a weak point). Short iron shots landed nicely without a lot of chancy bounce, and chipping felt comfortable, with no surprising leaps out of the short rough. As for putting, I could actually putt with these!
Testimonials like this have never been my style, so for a golfer like me (who usually doesn't have much preference for balls, since all of them seem to have an independent life of their own), discovering a brand that I think is truly better is a major breakthrough. The biggest and best surprise of all is that these are moderately priced, much less than the premium balls currently on the market, and I plan to keep on using them (and hope my luck continues).
Edited: I have now been using these balls for three weeks, and my last seven rounds have counted toward my handicap. My index has come down almost two full points in the past month while using these balls, and the magic continues. Mary Whipple

Funky look, fantastic performance., September 23, 2005
A friend gave me a sleeve of Volvik Crystal golf balls as an Easter present this spring, and they were a huge, wonderful surprise! Though they are very brightly colored "Easter eggs," they are not just a cute joke. They have a wonderful feel which makes them the best ball I've used in ages.
These balls look completely different from anything you may have used before, even if you get the crystal white ones. Translucent and almost see-through, the balls have unusual (patented) dimpling, with a variety of sizes to the dimples and an "octahedral" pattern. The bright, but not day-glo, colors make them easy to find if they stray from the fairway.
Though they are a low 70-compression ball, they are as lively off the tee as even the hardest Pinnacles, but I had 10 - 15 yards more distance than usual and felt I had more control and better accuracy. THE BEST OVERALL!, July 7, 2007
Longest, straightest, tough, and easiest to find is my humble opinion
of the Volvik offering in golf balls. I am a sixty year old who generally
shoots in the high eighties. I have been consistantly in the low eighties
and have broken into the seventies several times. The only thing that I have changed is my golf ball. Not only do I score better, but I can I.D. my ball from fifty yards away. I'm like a kid with a new toy!
