I have had this radar detector for at least a month now, and it has never let me down yet. It detects everything, and it detects it from amazingly far away. I have measure it as far as 3 miles! The filter option on it actually works as well, when its used it doesn't send the unit into a frenzy when i go past a walgreens or osco drug store. This is a fantastic product, and I would buy it again, and recommend it to anyone wanting a great radar detecor.

So far this radar detector has been a good buy. Simple to operate and has been very effective with its detection. It is affected by auto door operators at stores etc. but not near as bad as other detectors I have owned. I doubt there is one on the market that does not pick up such signals. It has not however picked up other detectors like around 18 wheelers which is why I ditched my Whistler. I like the sound that it makes-not annoying or too soft to hear. I would recommend this detector and spent many hours researching as I do with all purchases and feel that this was well worth the money.

This is a great radar detector! I would recommend this to anyone. Luckily, I had a friend that has been using this radar detector for 5 years and he has never gotten a ticket. It's $100 cheaper than the Valentine One and it will pay your first ticket up to a year. The real selling factor was the Valentine One being such a hot commodity for thieves. With the K40, it really looks inexpensive so hopefully that will thwart criminals. Great product. So far, it has alerted police radar with plenty of lead time!
