I've been searching for something practical and aesthetic to show to friends and co-workers. I was ecstatic when I thought I saw this beautiful piece of work... such flawless and meticulous craftsmanship. I wonder what was going through the artist's mind as he delicately put in his soul to perfectly preserving each flower petal, stem, leaf, sepal, stigma and anther in a frozen ballet of time. The countless hours and torturous labor involved must have been worth it, knowing that in the end, when all was said and done, he was going to end up with a finished paperweight.

I think I've even heard rumors that some people who practice Buddhism, pray that one day, they may have the privilege of being re-incarnated as a sheet of paper that might feel its awesome burden.

However, my joy had turned to sadness. Much to my chagrin, I decided to pass this up. The shipping charges are too ridiculously high for something so small.

I've decided on getting a made-in-China one at the dollar store.

Upon reading the reviews here, and the need for a solid paperweight, I went ahead and ordered one. I know what your thinking, why go the "el cheapo" route, instead of the most common handcrafted and diamond infused Ferrari series. For this one, I wanted to experience the cheap side of the spectrum for once. I must say that I was taken in. This paper weight does exactly what it should plus so much more.

One night I had an upset neighbor yelling at me for loud music. So I let him in to investigate. I then shoved him in the food pantry, and held the door closed with this paperweight. This item is so usefull that I bought two more. I know, I know, the shipping was a little high, but they threw in a free Antique Russian Antique Floral Bouquet Plaque Stapler. I am now this close -> <- to the entire set. I'm only missing the wastebasket, which was last seen in 1857.

This is awesome. My papers have had nothing to hold them down and are all over the floor since I opened the window. Now I will be able to keep my papers on my desk!!!
