North Carolina natives and brothers Cedric (K-Ci) and Joel (JoJo) Hailey best known as the front men of Jodeci, had some success as well when they left the group, though in my opinion they were never as good as they were as part of Jodeci. This is a collection of some of their songs from their 4 albums "Love Always", "It's Real", "X", and "Emotional" as well as a few songs off of soundtracks. With 18 songs on here you get a good range of some of the songs they recorded over the 8 year span after the Jodeci years. Of the 18, 11 are good (a few being real good or classics) and the other 7 are average. One song is a K-Ci solo and remake of a great old song, and one songs has Babyface featured on it. If you're huge fans of the 2 I'd pick it up but otherwise I think there's a little too much filler material even for a hits album.

I'm still speechless after listening to this album the past 2 days! K-Ci and JoJo's greatest hits' album just sounds great! The vocal talents are so soulful here. Sometimes, K-Ci reminds me of Bobby Womack vocally in his prime. And JoJo has some good pipes too. All My Life is still a classic some 8 years later. The album's mostly midtempo songs and ballads, but the performances are so dynamic! I still like Last Night's Letter, Tell Me It's Real, You Bring Me Up, I Care About You, the song from the Stella soundtrack and others. One other surprise here is Life, which sounds like it could have been done in one take, because K-Ci's voice sounds so pure here. Same with K-CI's If You Think You're Lonely Now. The offerings from the four albums and the soundtrack albums are so well balanced. You are going to be moved by this album!!!!

This album is great. Only gripe I have is the missing song "Beautiful" from the NY Undercover soundtrack. And of course, the Jodeci songs. Maybe they will release a remastered Jodeci compilation someday.
