Editorial Reviews

Product Description
Loaded with live concert footage, but not just a concert. A look behind the scenes, but not a documentary. It's got music videos, but it's more than a collection. Assembled from hours of footage, captured professionally at the shows or on video by the artists and friends, Road Fools offers an unprecedented, crazy collage of sights and experiences featuring ABK and his Psychopathic homies. It has skits, bits, live concerts, and exclusive music videos, all co-directed by ABK himself and unified by one theme - Road Foolin'! What is Road Foolin? We don't wanna give away the hook, but you'll find the comedy's as good as the music. ABK's breakout DVD is a totally unique, high-concept-on-home-video music DVD that will stand apart from the other music projects and have the fans chanting for more!

2.0 out of 5 stars A Big Krapfest. , March 23, 2005
Sorry, that title is cheesy. I bought this cd thinking that these songs might be alright, but only two of them are decent. And the DVD doesn't seem to be over 80 minutes to me. More like thirty or forty. HUGE letdown to me. And I buy everything Psychopathic. This shouldn't have been released in my opinion.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do Not Buy This!, March 22, 2005
By Ian Scottish (New York) - See all my reviews
I have been a diehard Juggalo for many years, I buy pretty much every album and DVD that Psychopathic releases and you know what? I've never regretted getting any of it. Every Psychopathic album I have is in rotation every now and than, and every DVD is fun to watch every now and than too. This however, was a complete waste of time and money. I would go into detail of how bad this is and why I think it sucks but it really isn't worth wasting the time. I don't know how Psychopathic let a half-assed project like this slip through the cracks but some how they did. Unless you feel like you NEED to add this to your collection, do not get it...I promise that you will regret it. Sorry Juggalos, but Psychopathic really messed up on this one.

1.0 out of 5 stars And this is where it all went bad., June 6, 2008
By Frostbite (Buffalo, NY USA) - See all my reviews
Things were finally looking up for ABK. He stepped out of the wreck that was "Hatchet Warrior," which was carried entirely by the guest appearances, and made "Dirty History." A good album, which he himself was able to carry. He had a thrilling live show, a good rep with the juggalos. A CD/DVD Combo, you say? Sounds smashing, ABK, do it up.

Well, that was sort of the end. Road Fools is everything ABK bad about ABK, thrown on an album with a DVD that's equally as bad. Up for a play-by-play? I'll suffer through.

Intro: Well, what I really needed was 2:45 of ABK and Lavel driving around, picking up their friends. 1/5

Feel This Way: One of two decent tracks on the album. And it's a weak decent. Plus, who opens an album with a mellow, sad song? It's like a watered down "2 Whom This May Concern." 3/5

Way We Roll: Smokers song. And not a great one. A decent chorus, but ABK and Lavel both have completely dull verses. Aside from starting a verse out with "The wheels on the bus go round and round," he ends the same verse with someone telling ABK "Hey, I wanna say what's up. Keep doin' what you're doin'." ABK shouldn't have listened to that guy. 2/5

Up My Sleeve: Does ABK even know what he's rapping about here? Weak verses, weak chorus. Yeeeccch. 1/5

We There Yet: It's annoying when little kids sing it. What made him think it'd be better when a rappin' injun with a lisp and 9 1/2 fingers did it? 1/5

Rage: ABK's proven in the past that he can bring out a hardcore, banging track. Which is what this aims at being, as far as I can tell. Lavel rapping doesn't exactly help. The chorus is about as meh as you can make one, and the ABC rhyming by ABK is laughable, when he actually bothers to rhyme. Verse 2: "Explosions, Self Destruction, This world is going under. All this murder that we do, should be used in self defense. Scream for help, and hope somebody listens, everybody's worried 'cause their loved ones is missin', Could you tell me, why does everybody have a bomb, EXPLOSIONS. Tell me who's the cause of this. Could you tell me, why does everybody have a bomb, EXPLOSIONS!" I don't know. I guess if the point of this track was to fill you with RAGE over how terrible it is, it succeeded. 1/5

All-4-U: Is it just me, or did the non-rappers rapping on this track just outdo ABK and Lavel? A decent enough, if overly simple chorus. And listenable verses. The highlight is actually Luke Shittalkers voice, based solely off how funny it is. The track is also bogged down by another pointless "skit" at the end, during the course of which, Lavel professes his deep love for ABK. Which...might explain some things, actually. 3/5

I'd describe the DVD, but just about everyone on here has made their point on how bad it is. All I'm saying is, there's a scene of ABK crouching in front of a dead bush on his front lawn, and pouring a bottle of water on it. "Thethe are my weed plantth, I'm watering my weed plantth." That sums it up well.

Overall, Juggalos and 'Lettes, this is a release to avoid.

I'm a big fan of ABK, I even have his underground releases... But... I surprisingly did not like this CD. The DVD has some cool footage from The Gathering of the Juggalos though.
