2.0 out of 5 stars Not up to Starrett standards..., October 22, 2005

This review is from: Starrett 970 Holster for 505A-12 ProSite Dial Protractor (Tools & Hardware)
The good:

-- Starrett Pro Site Protractor fits the holster perfectly
-- Holster facilitates carrying protractor on a belt up to 3 1/2" wide
-- Provides better protection than having no case at all
-- It's inexpensive.

The not good:

-- Imitation leather material is thin and cheap
-- Should have a protective flap over the end
-- Looks like it won't last long if used daily

Thought about sending it back, but it's not worth the effort to return a $5 item.

Should have had my wife make one.

This case is as advertised. I only wish that there was a flap to cover the top to prevent it from getting scratched. I know this a holster, but there still could be a top flap. I'll just put the protractor in upside-down.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice pouch to protect your protractor!, March 17, 2006

Nice little padded pouch to protect your precious Starrett protractor while it sits in your tool box waiting to save you time on your next moulding project. It does have a built in loop for strapping onto your belt but the protractor slides in and out of the back pocket of your Wranglers a lot easier.

1.0 out of 5 stars Good idea, lousy construction
The holster is great to use and keeps the protractor handy and out of the way. Too bad Starrett didn't see the need to make this heavy duty. Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars More durable material would be nice
This is basically a low end holster. For the low cost, what else would you expect, but I would pay more for a more heavy duty holster. Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars not bad
This isn't a bad tool, but I don't think it's worth the price. The allan bolt seems to either be too tight or too loose, and the scale is only accurate to the nearest degree. Read more
