About the Artist
Hailing from Stillwater, Oklahoma, the Great Divide is a grass roots working band that has met the country music industry head on with it's work ethic, tenacity, genuine likeability, and hard hitting style. In 1993 the group formed their own record label,publishing company and operating company, and began recording. The band's first two albums, Goin For Broke, and Break In The Storm were independently released. Atlantic Records signed the group and re-released Break In The Storm as well as the band's third album, Revolutions. After The Great Divide asked to be released from Atlantic, they recorded Afterglow, which was picked up by Broken Bow Records. Once again the band asked to be released from a recording contract due to lack of effort and enthusiasm. From their label, Remain, the band's fifth album was released independenly at the end of 2002. The combination of The Great Divide's experience, musical talents and new band member, promises to push the group! over the edge they have been perched on the past few years.
