After hearing Lifelines of Depth, I knew I had to get this album. One of my favorite Albums from this band. The music features great riffs and a lovely voice, which seem to blend so well with some of the songs. Silje's (SP?) voice complements each song on the track. Whether you love or hate the song, you have to admit, she does a good job singing. The band also does a great job setting the atmosphere, its like you're almost there in a damp, cold, winter environment. Definitely one of the bands I suggest for any Goth Metal fan out there.

Few know of this awesome, once all-female band from Norway, but hopefully this will change in the very near future. I've owned this CD since it was first put out into the sucking-black void of the Metal music realm. Of all the disks I own-- AND THAT'S A LOT!-- this disk gets the MOST playtime on my car stereo and iPod. I do own the newest disk by OS, but find their strengths as musicians a little too watered-down (man-handled) for my taste (man-handled by some idiot male who decided that these Warrior-like females needed to tone it down to cry-baby-broken-hearted female level). Until OS picks back up their original strengths musically and lyrically, and produce an album that surpasses the greatness of Winter Enclosure, I'll pretend that this disk is their one and only release thus far.

I've heard some critics say that the Winter Enclosure release wasn't very memorable--that the lyrics were too complex. But I totally disagree! Yes the lyrics are complex, but so is the music. These critics are just use to the words 'dying' and 'crying' being somewhere in at least one or two of the songs produced by supposed female rockers. Sure, if you're looking for another stoner-rock chick album, then your NOT going to like this one. OS, in this album, speaks of strenghth and intelligence; two chief charms rarely shown by females who dare to call themselves metalists.

I give this album TOP ranking! YOU should give it a try.

I actually bought this album without knowing really what it was. It didn't dissapoint me at all. This band has a similarity to Evanescence.
