From the supplier: There was a time when sports columns were fun to read and had been rightly dubbed Toy Department. In the 1990s, however, games have become more commercialized and are no longer that much fun to read. Some sports, like baseball, are not given enough coverage, while others, like hockey, are given too much space. Sports writers, who sometimes upstage the event they cover, are also prone to fawn on the sports they favor.
