From the supplier: Broiler production is expected to increase in 4th qtr. 1996 by at least 5% provided recent trends continue. Production is being boosted by high broiler prices and declining feed costs. Meanwhile, a 5% increase in 1996 egg production, as compared with 1995, is also expected due to a strong gain in productivity and flock size. While broiler exports decline by 5.8% compared with 1995 export total, other chicken products continue to significantly exceed 1995 levels. Hog prices decline along with pork exports while demand for dairy products continues at a brisk pace.
