About the Actor
In 2004, Joanna Skye was nominated for 2 Emmy Awards for On-Air Talent/Host for "Lost Legends of the West." It was not only her debut television show, but was also her first professional audition. She captured the producers attention on a homemade video with her natural on-camera presence and wearing a baseball hat. Joanna was working for a public relations firm for a year prior and was eager to move out from under the desk and into the unknown depths of caves and mines in search of hidden treasure. She has always had a love of history and exploration, and quickly found herself researching Wild West legends, writing and retelling crazy survival stories. Joanna was now able to combine her passion for travel and adventure with television. She found her niche with "Lost Legends." Joanna grew-up outside Philadelphia, PA and graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Communications. She currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
Nathan Cutietta is the owner of Swashbuckler Studios and the creator of "Lost Legends of the West". His television career started at 15 when he got a job as an editor at Jorgensen Productions, a small post-production house in Tucson, Arizona. Nathan worked there through school and then got a job at a Warner Brothers Affiliate as a producer. He later moved to Los Angeles and worked as a Director and Producer for Fox and Fox Sports. While at Fox Nathan started to play around with the idea producing his own show. Nathan's love of treasure hunting, travel and the outdoors was an obvious influence on his decision to create "Lost Legends of the West"

Kitty Hensley lived a very typical wild west life style. She moved to California in the 1880s when she was 25 to find adventure. Later, when the bust came, she moved to Alaska. The Alaska pioneers never thought much of Kitty Hensley. Near the end of her life she was known as just a crazy old lady. When she died she left one of the most unusual treasure maps of all time behind. many treasure hunters have tried to decode the riddle that is Kitty hensleys treasure map, but no one has ever come close. In this episode, Joanna spends a frigid week in Fairbanks trying to get inside the head of this pioneer woman. Joanna talks to many local residents who all have their own take on famous and sometimes infamous Kitty Hensley. Joanna tracks down original hand written letters and a picture of Kitty that even the Kitty Hensley Museum did not know about.
