From the supplier: The hotel industry in Hong Kong is not spared by the year 2000 (Y2K) computer problem. Although the impact of the Y2K problem on hotels is minimal, it can still create problems in their operations such as reservations, room management and guest accounting systems. Hong Kong hoteliers classified the Y2K solutions in three categories: ignore the problem, debug existing computer programs and replace existing programs with updated software. Hotels should not ignore this computer problem since the time for implementing the best solution is limited.
