This is a third party pre-filter replacement pack. The slots are not an exact fit for the Whirlpool Whispure 510 Air Purifier (AP510) but you force it in. Functionality is just seems fine.

I've always bought the "cut to fit" generic filters before, but after our hardware store quit carrying them, I purchased these. Now, I don't wait for someone (male) to do it for me. (I'm lazy, not incompetent, lol.) These fit perfectly!

At over $60.00 this product costs more than double the price for which you can get it from Whirlpool directly...don't understand why. Is there something special about it?
