Fantastic Four, September 4, 2005
1. Come On, Come In-Velvet Revolver-3:59-10/10: Great opening song. It's hardcore rock. I didn't really know who Velvet Revolver were, but now i'm going to have to look them up. Great guitar solo.
2. Error Operator-Taking Back Sunday-3:09-10/10: This song has a really great chorus and the verses are really well written. I really like the instrumental part right before the final chorus.
3. Relax-Chingy-3:31-10/10: I don't usually listen to rap, but this song really makes me sing along. Great uses of the Fantastic Four's names. The beat makes it sound like a video game.
4. Whatever Happened To The Heroes-Joss Stone-3:56-9/10: This is the first song i have of Joss Stone and i was amazed. She is a really good singer and the lyrics are really good. The ending is really good and i like the second verse where she names certain people that could be her heroes.
5. Waiting (Save Your Life)-Omnisoul-4:02-10/10: Great opening to the song and all together a great song. I am really anticapating their album thats coming out next year. It has a really great beat and will make you a fan of theirs once you hear it.
6. Always Come Back To You-Ryan Cabrera-3:33-10/10: Ryan was one person i didn't expect to see on a soundtrack like this, but once i heard this song, it became one of my favorites on the album. It has a great beat and the chorus makes you want to sing along.
7. Everything Burns-Ben Moody feat. Anastacia-3:41-10/10: This is the lead single off of the soundtrack. I didn't know if Ben could pull it off, but he did. I like anastacias voice in the begining, but i don't like in the end when she starts screeching. The begining had great acoustic guitar and the end becomes a great power song.
8. New World Symphony-Miri Ben-Ari feat. Pharoane Monch-4:01-6/10: I don't really like this song. Miri Ben-Ari is Kanye West's violinist, so Pharoane raps the whole song. Overall not really into the song, but i like the violin part before the final chorus.
9. Die For You (Fantastic Four Mix)-Megan McCauley-3:49-10/10: One of my favorite songs on this album. I first heard her on the Elektra soundtrack and this time she has 2 songs. For anyone who wants to buy her album,"Baa Baa Black Sheep", it has sadly been delayed til next year. But until then, i can keep listening to this soundtrack and her song on the elektra soundtrack.
10. Noots-Sum 41-3:49-10/10: I had never listened to sum 41 before and when i heard this song, it went beyond what i expected. This is a fast paced rock song with great lyrics to sing along to. I like the long guitar riff in the ending. This is a b-side for their album "Chuck".
11. Surrender-Simple Plan-2:58-10/10: Wow there are alot of 10/10 on this album. Here is another one. I'm a fan of Simple Plan and i had never heard this song before, but now it is one of my favorite songs from them.
12. I'll Take You Down-T.F.F.-2:50-9/10: I think T.F.F. is supposed to stand for The Fantastic Four but i'm not sure. Oh, well. This song has a great beat mixed with lyrics that can accompany the beat well. I like in the end how the music stops and you think it's over, but it comes back for another 15 seconds.
13. On Fire-Lloyd Banks-3:07-9/10: Like "Relax" by Chingy, I didn't think this would be a good song, but i heard it and i liked it. The beat is a club banger.
14. Reverie-Megan McCauley-3:55-10/10: Another great song by Miss McCauley. I like how it starts off with a piano in the first verse, and then it becomes this huge song in the chorus in an instant. The chorus is really good and the whole song is really well written. After both of her songs, especially this one, if you are not a fan of hers, then you should be.
15. Goodbye To You-Breaking Point-3:51-8/10: The begining of the song and the verses to me are kind of weak, but it all comes together in the chorus. The chorus has great lyrics and i like the 3rd verse.
16. Shed My Skin-Alter Bridge-5:08-7/10: I really liked Alter Bridge's song "Save Me" on the Elektra soundtrack, but i didn't really care for this song. The only part i really like is the chorus. Other than that the beat kind of slows down in the verses.
17. In Due Time-Submersed-4:04-10/10: The album picks up with this song. It is a great rock song that has great lyrics. I liked their song "Hollow" on the Elektra soundtrack and i like this song, so i might just buy their album. It has a killer pre-chorus and a great chorus.I really like the ending to this song.
18. Disposable Sunshine-Loser-3:27-10/10: This is another great upbeat song that you can sing along to and a great song to dance to. I like the chorus and the whole song had great lyrics. I've never heard of them, but i think i'm going to look up some info on them.
19. Now You Know-Miss Eighty 6 feat. Classic-3:03-8/10: The confusing thing is that it features classic, but he raps most of the song. The beat is cool and could be a club hit.
20. Kirikirimai (Fantastic Four Remix)-Orange Range-3:14-10/10: This is a really great song. I have no clue what they are saying as it is in japanese, but it is a great remix. A really great way to end the album.
Overall-10/10
A great album with something for everyone: Pop, rap, rock and great songs overall. Go buy it and you won't be dissapointed.

mmmm...not bad, July 13, 2005
Well this is wind-ups second soundtrack release in 1 year, in January the soundtrack for the Elektra movie was released, now we get another Marvel movie soundtrack.
Wind-up have released Daredevil and The Punisher previously to Elektra which I was both huge fans of, amazing selection of songs. Now we come to the Fantastic Four album, a few rock songs and a few rap/hip-hop songs which I ain't too keen on one bit: this is my track-by-track review anyhow:
1) Come on, Come In - Velvet Revolver - 9/10 - Not bad really, pretty good introduction, nice guitars, worthy of a single release perhaps
2) Error Operator - Taking Back Sunday - 8/10 - Ok verse's, the chorus are a joke though, repeatings "We can't go back" about 6 times over which I think is pretty bad, but the rest of the song is brilliant
3) Relax - Chingy - 4/10 - Not my cup of tea one bit, never liked this genre, never will
4) Whatever Happened to the Heroes - Joss Stone - 7/10 - Suprised they chose Joss for this soundtrack, the song actually isn't that bad, fits for the movie I reckon, not my favourite, but not my least.
5) Waiting (Save Our Lives) - Omnisoul - 10/10 - Very good song, fits perfectly on the soundtrack and on the movie too, should of been the lead song from the CD but oh well.
6) Always Come Back to You - Ryan Canbrera - 8/10 - Again like Joss Stone, this one suprised me, but again not a bad song at all, fits the CD nicely
7) Everything Burns - Ben Moody feat. Anastacia - 10/10 - Nice combanation between the two, the lead single from the CD, one of my favs from the CD
8) New World Symphony - Miri Ben-Ari - 5/10 - Who the hell? Don't care really, not my cup of tea at all
9) Die for You - Megan McCauley - 10/10 - Looking forward for Megan's second soundtrack release for some time now, great singer, great gal, look out for her debut CD in September
10) Noots - Sum 41 - 10/10 - Wow, never expected it to be this good, just thought it might of been a Sum 41 B-side reject track, but it really is amazing, one of the best on the CD
11) Surrender - Simple Plan - 8/10 - Not bad, never really gone crazy on SP, some of their songs are embarassing, this one ain't too bad, but I like others on the CD
12) I'll Take You Down - T.F.F - 7/10 - Ok, never really gone crazy over the Distillers, so I didn't like this song very much, high mark for the nice guitaring
13) On Fire - Lloyd Banks - 6/10 - Again, not my cup of tea, high(ish) mark cause of its a bit catchy, other then that, turn it off
14) Reverie - Megan McCauley - 9/10 - Not as good as "Die for You" but still brilliant
15) Goodbye to You - Breaking Point - 10/10 - Great song, similar to Omnisouls track, emotional, a nice track
16) Shed My Skin - Alter Bridge - 8/10 - Not bad, wish they would of chose a different from their CD like "Metalingus" or something else
17) In Due Time - Submersed - 9/10 - Nice song, put on the CD prob cause its their latest single, nice choice though
18) Disposable Sunshine - Loser - 9/10 - Never heard of these before, but good song, nice vocals indeed
19) Now You Know - Miss Eighty 6 - 4/10 - Bad, don't like it at all
I recommend this to anyone who like modern rock music

Multiple Genres Result In So-So Soundtrack, April 12, 2008
Like many others have stated, Marvel has had great success with the soundtracks of their recent comic-turned-movie characters. "Daredevil," "Elektra," and the wonderful "The Punisher" soundtracks have all fared better than their respective films as far as dollars go. With "Fantastic Four," I believe that Marvel and producer Wind-Up have attempted to create a mixture of sounds as unique as the four heroes from the film. Unfortunately, this alienates every crowd out there by only offering a few songs from multiple genres. There's hard rock from bands like Velvet Revolver and T.F.F., faux punk from Sum 41 and Simple Plan, hip-hop from Lloyd Banks and Chingy, pop from artists like Ryan Cabrera, pop soul from Joss Stone, a shameless plug for a seemingly Amy Lee wannabe called Megan McCauley and a whole mixture of other artists.
While this is a mixed bag, there are some highlights. VR's "Come On, Come In" opens this album with the hopes of a rockin' good time. Joss Stone's "Whatever Happened To The Heroes" is excellent. Sum 41's "Noots," an infectious, high-energy tune, makes this band sound a lot better than they really are. Ben Moody and Anastacia's "Everything Burns" proves that Moody doesn't need Amy Lee to stand out. Taking Back Sunday's "Error Operator" and the very unique (even for this album) "Kirikirimai" from Orange Range are also stand out tracks.
Overall, this album is hit-and-miss. The good outweighs the bad, hence the four star rating. Still, I'd sample this album before buying it.
