This Product is awsome!, July 4, 2006
(I didn't buy this product from this particular store, I am writing this review for THE PRODCUT AX-700s, not for this store)
You will be suprise how this oven can cook tasty and healthy food for you! Yes, is very expensive, but after you see more then 2 tablespoon of grease being expelled from a piece of chicken breast meat using the Super Roast function, you will be so amazed that how much extra fat you have been eating. Since it use water to grill, meat is always moist, and if you like to bake bread, you will have the BEST bread you will ever have (as mentioned in some cookbook, you don't want the bread crust to pre-form before your bread dough is done. A environment filled with moisture can prevent to happen. You can spray water into your regular oven to accomplish this, but is not easy to control the humidity)
Not to mention is it so easy to steam any kind of food without waiting your water to boil.
I spend over $1000 and I have to ship it all the way from Japan for this, but it worth every penny and hassle! MUST BUY if you like to cook healthy and tasty.

Sharp AX-700S Initial Impressions, February 26, 2006
The out of the box experience is very pleasing. The Sharp AX-700s is a very good looking unit. It fits on my countertop perfectly.
The cleaning procedure mentioned in the manual resulted, at least in my case with error EE-05, which called for the descaling of the unit. I really couldn't get the unit to work right until I did the descaling procedure. After descaling, I did the cleaning cycle the manual required. After that, things began working correctly.
I have grilled ground sirloin burgers, pork chops and chicken breasts so far. It has been interesting to watch the fat drip off the meat resulting in a very lean tasting cut of meat. The objective of reducing fat and salt I think has been met well. This cooking with superheated steam is new to me, but it seems to be the way to do it if your diet requires it.
I have steamed at the tender setting carrots and cauliflower, both to my liking. So I think it does steaming well.
The manual doesn't really have much information on cooking frozen vegetables, rice or pasta using this oven. Maybe this should be obvious to me on how to do, but I don't cook, so a few pointers would have been helpful.

It is worth the headache to find one, January 14, 2008
I had been shopping for this item for the last 6 months and finally got my hands one in December 2007. Well, I have not turned my stove or oven on since using the Sharp steam oven. I have made split pea soup, quinoa, steamed veggies of all kinds, and pasta. I live in NYC and DON'T cook and need a cookbook when I do attempt to prepare food, so you can imagine how cool it was for me to finally eat home cooked food that was prepared restaurant perfect. It was so EASY. The computer touch controls are truly as a one post says"IDIOT PROOF.........IT IS TRUE"! The machine is easy to clean and super easy to operate. It is great for busy people who wish to eat restaurant quality food at home.
There is nothing else to say but GET ONE BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY. IT WILL BE THE BEST MONEY YOU HAVE EVER SPENT. I am thinking about getting rid of my stove because as long as I own one of these, I will never use a stove again.
