If the measurement is between sizes or if your pet has a stouter build, is overweight or has a deep chest, we recommend selecting the next size up for a proper fit. 1 Back: Measure the length of your pet's back from the base of neck to the base of tail. This is a great idea but, the construction is not what I had hoped. The terri cloth is extremely thin and the cut is such that the robe does not stay on if the dog goes down any stairs or get active in any way.
